An Open Letter
Here at the central offices of Electronic Link Journey, in the heart of Manhattan, we are all deeply affected by the events of September 11, 2001. Though our Times Square location afforded a clear view of the fated Twin Towers, we have chosen to focus on the future, and possibilities, rather than the horrific, immutable events that have shaken the foundation of this nation.
As we grieve for the lost, we praise the living, in their almost universal stand for peace, understanding and friendship. While some, a vast minority, have exploited this tragedy via schemes, bigotry and hatred, here in NYC, in the sight of “Ground Zero” the citizens of our great city continue to make us proud.
We have all been affected. We have all been scarred. We urge you to live life, and to appreciate every new day. We urge you to embrace the afflicted, the widowed, the orphaned, the jobless, the homeless and the hopeless. Talk it out, and talk it through. What has occurred is HORRIBLE. We need to be there for one another.
With our warmest wishes for your safety and security,
